The final three chefs are challenged to create a dish from different parts of the world. To help him judge the challenge, Chef Ramsay invites a few international culinary experts. The winner of the challenge gets to spend some quality time with their family while the executive chefs cook their signature dishes for them. At dinner service, one more chef gets eliminated and the final two competitors are announced!
The final four chefs meet a diminutive version of Chef Ramsay, British child actor-impressionist Felix Light (aka "Little Gordon Ramsay"), then must feed 80 other youngsters---and do it without serving meat. At dinner service, two chefs have a bad night and one goes home
For the chef's first individual challenge, Chef Ramsay asks them to create a dish that looks as good as it tastes. Experts from Bon Apptit magazine will be helping Chef Ramsay come to his decision. The winning chef will get the incredible opportunity to dine at Shutters on the Beach with Ramsay and Bon Apptit editor-in-chief Barbara Fairchild. When dinner service begins, none of the chefs perform up to Chef Ramsay's standards and nobody is safe from elimination.
The teams may merge now that there are six, as they re-create foods they've tasted. A frustrated Chef Ramsey storms out during dinner service.
Winter Olympic medalists Sasha Cohen and Jonny Moseley will serve as judges of the meals created by the contestants using ingredients brought in from Whistler, B.C., site of the restaurant in which the winner will be stationed.
For their challenge, both teams are asked to create crepes, hoping to show off their skills for cooking international cuisines. The winning team enjoys their afternoon at a French restaurant, but the losing team faces problems when one of the chefs is injured prepping for dinner service. During dinner service, the chefs have a hard time with the French menu, and Chef Ramsay kicks three chefs out of the kitchen.
Chef Ramsay challenges the remaining chefs to a blind taste-test to evaluate their palates. The winning team will enjoy a very unique experience: dining with Chef Ramsay in the dark, where the diners have to rely on their senses of touch, taste and smell. Dinner service begins with disaster when one team runs out of potatoes and another serves raw meat.
To determine what ingredients the chefs will have to combine to create a dish for Chef Ramsay, the teams roll the dice on the Hell's Kitchen craps table. The winning team earns a trip to Las Vegas after successfully combining unlikely ingredients while the losing team is forced to prep both kitchens for dinner service. To increase the pressure on the remaining chefs during dinner service, Chef Ramsay invites chefs from his own restaurants to sit at the first ever Hell's Kitchen chef's table. Tempers ignite when one team keeps making the same mistakes over and over again while another team gets tired of an overly bossy teammate.
Each team has 45 minutes to create a low-calorie meal, consisting of an appetiser, an entree and a desert, with the entire meal containing less than 700 calories; the team with the most items selected by Chef Ramsay wins. The red team won in all three categories; the men won only in the appetiser category.
